Any dissertation or discussion on the Catian race would have to begin with the two movies that first brought the race to wide public attention ... i.e., Cat People (1942)(from IMDb) Which was Directed by Jacques Tourneur and stared Simone Simon and Jack Holt, et al. Let’s not forget the Cat People (1982) (from IMDb) which was, of course, directed by Paul Schrader. Starring Nastassja Kinski, Malcolm McDowell, John Heard, et al. Both of these films showed a side of this fierce race that we fans would all like to ignore but the fact remains ... Anyone who knowingly encounters an actual Catian is probably not around anymore to talk about it. They are NOT cute, cuddly and snuggle friendly, (at least not generally to humans) that the recent 2D media (i.e., Japanese anime & manga) would paint them to be ... Hell I’ve even got Catia porn and nudie art). However, there are exceptions, let me give you an example of what was probably Catians in action (in a positive way) with humans.
I think it was in Perkins, but, it could have been Denny’s or Shoney’s, sometime in the 1990’s that I was reading a news paper. An article caught my eye. As I remember, it had something to do with “gift” in the title. Any way, the article was about a 12 year old female child that was being gang-raped by half a dozen or so men somewhere around Somalia in Africa. They were gang raping her, this 12 year old child, and get this, “in order to force her to marry one of the men.” Personally, I find NOTHING marry-able or sexually desirable about a 12 year old child and anyone who does is a card carrying pedophile, period. Any way, this screaming child attracted the attention of a pride of Lions (probably Catians in full cat form) who intervened on behalf of the child and drove the men off. The Pride of Catia remained there and guarded the child until her family showed up, then and I paraphrase the article, “The Pride of Catia left her as though they were leaving a gift.”
This is a true story, (the article was published in the newspaper, so I assume its true as well), which I’ve quoted (or paraphrased as best I can remember, it came from an article in the Omaha World Herald (between 1995-1999 ... I think)., but it could have just as easily been a few years earlier in Baton Rouge’s Morning Advocate (between 1990-1995) ... Sorry, but, I have a memory like a leaky colander and I’ve cited sources as best I could.
From this article it would seem that even the Catia respect a child’s right to be child and not have perverted male pedophiles abuse them. This is one of the only encounters with actual (probably) Catians, I ever heard of where humans were not just simply prey. I realize that they could have been natural Lions but most of Great Cats would probably not have cared enough for humans to come to the rescue of a screaming child ... Much less guarded her till her family came. I carried this article in my wallet till it fell apart. This is what made me fall in love with Catian race.
